Job summary

Family Dollar in Aberdeen, SD is hiring a Customer Service Associate to create a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process sales transactions, stock shelves, unload merchandise, and ensure a clean, safe store environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and prior customer service experience. You will follow instructions, handle cash securely, and interact professionally with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent movement and lifting.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Unload trucks and stock replenish according to productivity standards.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment.
• Keep areas neat and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, and take out trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
