As a Store Associate, you'll be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by working collaboratively with the ALDI team and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Type: Full-Time

Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week

Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour

Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $19.50 | Year 5 - $20.50

Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role.
• Process customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, stock shelves, and merchandise displays neatly.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to store management.
• Provide feedback to management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and issues.
• Participate in store inventory counts and monitor inventory for accuracy.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, maintaining security and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and place products on shelving at various heights.
• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate cash register efficiently and accurately.
• Safely operate equipment like hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and balers.
• Perform general cleaning to company standards.
• Interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
• Possess excellent communication skills.
• Work independently and in a team.
• Stay organized, attentive to detail, and able to multitask.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcohol.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail experience preferred but not required; a combination of education and experience is acceptable.
