Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level team member to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to the additional services offered by our store. Meijer Courtesy Team Members enjoy interacting with people and understand what it means to provide above-and-beyond customer service.

As an entry-level role, you will perform cart duties, parking lot coordination, trash collection, basic cleaning, and support across departments.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with a keen sense for details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling products or equipment.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Move shopping carts from outside the store back to the interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking areas.
• Collaborate with departments including Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
