Serve as a Truist Mortgage liaison between the community, local government, and mortgage program agencies to facilitate low to moderate income mortgage loans through community partnerships and affordable housing initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Responsible for growth and production of mortgage loans for Low-To-Moderate (LMI) income borrowers by serving as the product specialist for the Truist Affordable Housing suite and Down Payment Assistance programs.
  • Implement action plans and CRA strategies to position Truist as a leader in Affordable Housing Lending by establishing partnerships and participating in community groups to increase LMI/CRA lending and promote Truist's community image.
  • Work with community, faith-based, and non-profit organizations to provide leadership and training for homeownership classes, credit counseling, and mortgage education.
  • Promote the Truist referral process within the LMI/CRA strategy through collaboration with partners and participation on committees and boards as appropriate.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of Mortgage Strategies, Policies, Procedures, and secondary market investor guidelines used by Truist.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Truist policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Assist with mortgage loan fulfillment, including client, attorney, and appraiser document follow-up through quality control or post-closing review.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years in residential mortgage lending sales or equivalent experience with government or non-profit housing agencies.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage lending process.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
  • Must comply with SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act within 30 days of employment, including background checks.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Knowledge of the local market area.
  • Over 3 years of mortgage lending sales experience.
  • Previous sales awards and leadership roles.
Other Job Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Up to 25 lbs. lifting capacity.
  • Ability to access and interpret client information, communicate effectively, and work standard office equipment.
  • Availability to work all scheduled hours, including overtime.
  • Travel up to 75%.
