Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to deliver strong customer service with product knowledge and a friendly attitude. This entry level position exposes you to retail tasks including product handling, customer service and merchandising.

You will stock shelves, support back-room operations, and work overnight to prepare the store for the day ahead. If you enjoy hands-on work and being part of a team, this role is a great fit.

Qualifications

• Comfort with learning and using basic technology.
• Ability to follow processes in an organized way.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player who supports shared goals.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to complete areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
