Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking an entry level Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked with a wide range of food and grocery products and to deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including overnight shifts to prepare the store each morning.

Qualifications

• Entry level role focused on customer service and merchandising.
• Willingness to learn basic technology and processes.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back areas.
• Work closely with leadership to complete areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
