Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Associate in Paducah, KY to help keep our retail environment clean, safe, and welcoming for customers and staff. You will handle cleaning tasks, stocking, and basic store operations while supporting checkout and customer engagement.

Preferred candidates have retail or cleaning experience and can stand for long periods, lift items, and follow safety guidelines. The role includes employee discounts and benefits where eligible.

Qualifications

• Retain a willingness to perform cleaning duties across store areas.
• Ability to follow approved procedures and SOPs.
• Customer service oriented and team player.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
• Dusts and mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and products for cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with supplied materials and equipment.
• Deep cleans key areas (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways) to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Notify supervisor of supply needs and restock as required.
• Maintain positive interactions with team members and customers.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience and assist with Rewards programs.
• Engage in Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS) and stock replenishment.
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies.
