KeHE Distributors is hiring a Retail Cheese Specialist to support on-site cheese shop operations, including product setup, display, and customer service. You will train store staff on cheese monger activities and provide expert recommendations on pairings and portions.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in written and spoken English and possess basic math skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point) and Siebel within 90 days.
• Two years of experience in Service Deli knowledge - cheese, deli, perishable goods.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work independently or with customer staff, with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times when communicating with store management, personnel and the public; adhere to policies.
• Refill, reset and merchandise cheese products for display and placement following best practices; rewrap and package as needed.
• Provide instruction to customer personnel in all cheese monger activities.
• Provide sales support and training to customer sales team; offer product recommendations and pairing suggestions.
• Comply with health, sanitation, and safety policies and guidelines.
• Handle knives and cutters to resize cheese products for repackaging or trimming for appearance.
• Inspect products for quality using vision and smell.
• Plan and carry out daily schedules; travel throughout assigned territory.
• Create and transmit orders for product replenishment and other paperwork; verify transmission receipts.
