Job summary

Our client in the Seacoast region is seeking a Chief Financial Officer with strong retail finance expertise to lead financial operations across multiple entities. The role requires strategic leadership, deep knowledge of inventory-driven businesses, and the ability to optimize intercompany accounting and consolidated reporting.

The CFO will guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, and will partner with executive leadership on capital investments and growth initiatives in retail,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
• Significant retail finance experience required.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, retail KPIs, margin management, and seasonal cycles.
• Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills.
• Strong ERP, accounting systems, and reporting tool experience.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and business partnership skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior finance leader and strategic advisor to ownership and executive leadership.
• Lead long-range financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
• Develop financial strategies that support profitable growth across retail and e-commerce.
• Deliver actionable insights on sales, margin, payroll, inventory, and expenses.
• Partner with leadership on capital investments, expansion opportunities, and operational initiatives.
• Oversee financial operations for a multi-entity corporate structure and ensure consolidated reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
• Manage banking relationships, cash flow forecasting, and treasury functions.
