Description

Position Purpose:

Provide consultative sales and service to customers seeking health and ancillary insurance products and information. Assist with wellness education and conduct on-site Personal Health Assessments (PHAs).

Logistics:

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, on-site at 1795 N. Highway 17, Suite 7, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464, in an office environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Provide face-to-face, telephone, and web-based sales and service to customers for health and ancillary insurance products. Analyze customer needs and match them to appropriate products and services.
  • Present and explain products, benefits, features, and alternatives. Clarify sales, underwriting, and enrollment processes to set customer expectations.
  • Generate leads for new sales and follow up via calls or outreach.
  • Schedule appointments, conduct group and individual information sessions, and assist with wellness education and PHAs.
  • Handle payments from customers.
  • Support sales and service at special events and projects.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of retail, sales, or marketing experience.
  • Effective relationship-building, presentation, customer service, analytical, communication, organizational, and negotiation skills. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Department of Insurance Licensure within 60 days of hire, maintained throughout employment. Additional licenses may be required.
