A Day in the Life

Sales and Cashier

• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting customers, guiding them to fitting rooms, and managing clothing returns.
• Encourage participation in initiatives like Nordstrom Rewards.
• Organize stockrooms and complete inventory processes, ensuring merchandise is checked in and properly ticketed.
• Maintain the sale floor’s appearance through re-merchandising and straightening.
• Assist customers with transactions in a friendly manner.
• Demonstrate proficiency with store technologies.
• Handle customer issues effectively and promptly.

Stock Support and Fulfillment

• Receive, unload, unpack, and deliver merchandise to sales areas.
• Fulfill customer orders efficiently, adhering to quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders following packing and shipping protocols.
• Use inventory systems to process shipments and research merchandise.
• Keep the store and stockrooms organized and clean.
• Support store activities like setting up events, organizing backrooms, and relocating fixtures.
