Job summary

GPM Investments' Minit Mart in Laurel, MS is hiring a friendly Cashier/Sales Associate for Store 17227. You will greet customers, run the register, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe throughout shifts.

This role offers both full-time and part-time schedules with pay ranging from $9.00 to $11.00 per hour, weekly pay, and benefits such as a 401(k). Previous retail experience is welcomed but not required; on‑the‑job training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Read, write, speak and understand English effectively.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Physically able to lift 10 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer with a smile and run the register with accuracy and speed.
• Become an expert in lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age/ legal requirements.
• Offer friendly service and upsell customers when possible to increase sales.
• Keep the store clean and safe, including restrooms, pumps area, and lot.
• Stock shelves, coolers, and displays to keep merchandise looking fresh.
• Maintain a clean and organized store including sweeping, mopping, and windows.
