Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is hiring cashiers to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service in a busy retail environment. You will help customers find items, handle transactions, and support safety and cleanliness across the store and fuel pumps.

No prior experience is needed; Love’s offers training and a path for growth within a family-owned, 60-year history of service. Competitive pay and scheduling flexibility are available with benefits after a short period.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties: helping customers find items, answering questions, and addressing needs.
• Balance cash register and process transactions; promote additional sales while following laws.
• Ensure proper food safety for fresh food and deli products using required methods and tech.
• Maintain cleanliness of your area, sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and perform trash runs.
• Cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, or leadership roles as needed.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
