Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring for a cashier role in a fast-paced environment. You will provide friendly, accurate service to customers, help them find items, and process transactions at the register.

No prior experience required; training will be provided. The job involves food safety duties, cleaning responsibilities, and potential cross-training in Restaurant Services or Maintenance. Physical tasks include lifting up to 25 pounds and working in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by locating items and answering questions about products and services.
• Balance a cash register and complete transactions while following laws.
• Maintain proper food safety for fresh and deli products.
• Clean working area, sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and perform trash runs.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, or Maintenance.
• Lift and move up to 25 pounds and work in various temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
