Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops is hiring cashiers to provide fast, friendly, and accurate checkout services in a busy retail environment. You may perform various duties to meet business needs, with training provided for those without experience.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems.
• Wriendly, helpful attitude and strong communication.
• Reliability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in locating items and answering questions.
• Balance cash register and process transactions.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness in work area and deli products.
• Clean sales floor, restrooms, gas/diesel pumps, and complete trash runs.
• Cross-train in other departments and support leadership as needed.
• Move and lift up to 25 pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customerswhile following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds.Ability to work in various temperatures.
