Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring cashiers for a fast-paced retail environment in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. You will provide quick, friendly, and accurate service to customers, balance cash transactions, and help maintain clean facilities.

No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for cross-training across departments, with focus on teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers locate items and answer questions.
• Balance cash register and process transactions, with opportunities for upselling.
• Ensure proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
• Keep work area, sales floor, restrooms, and pumps clean and organized.
• Cross-training in other departments such as Restaurant Services and Facility Maintenance may occur.
• Ability to move and lift 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customerswhile following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds.Ability to work in various temperatures.
