Job summary

Love's Travel Stops in Brunswick, GA is seeking friendly cashiers to provide fast, accurate service at the checkout and assist customers with product questions. You will learn relevant POS procedures and hygiene standards while contributing to a clean and welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Basic food safety knowledge and willingness to follow SOPs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible scheduling and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by locating items and answering questions about products and services.
• Balance cash register and process transactions with accuracy and upsell when appropriate.
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation for our fresh food and deli offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, sales floor, restrooms and pumps; perform trash runs.
• Cross-train in other departments such as Restaurant Services or Maintenance as needed.
• Work in varying temperatures and environments; comply with all safety policies.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
