Job summary

Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores is hiring for a cashier role in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist customers, operate the register, and help maintain clean, well-stocked spaces across the store and gas pumps.

No prior experience required as training is provided; candidates should demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and a collaborative attitude to support the team and ensure safe food handling wherever applicable.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and a friendly approach to guests.
• Willingness to learn with on-the-job training provided.
• Flexibility and teamwork are important in a fast-paced store.
• Able to operate a cash register and handle transactions.

Responsibilities

• General customer service duties including helping customers find items and answering questions.
• Balancing a cash register by completing transactions and suggesting additional sales.
• Ensuring proper food safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
• Cleaning the direct working area, sales floor, restrooms, pumps, and performing trash runs.
• Cross training in departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, and maintenance.
• Move and lift 25+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.

Job Functions

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, helping customers find items, answering questions about products and services, and addressing customer needs.
• Balancing a cash register by completing customer transactions and offering additional sales opportunities to customers while following all state and local laws.
• Use a variety of methods and technology to ensure proper food safety conditions of our fresh food and deli products.
• Responsibility for cleaning your direct working area, the sales floor, restrooms, showers, gas/diesel pumps, and completing trash runs.
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
