Job summary

ALDI USA is hiring a store associate to merchandise, stock, cashier, and maintain store cleanliness. You will deliver excellent customer service and work with the ALDI team to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

The position starts at $20.50 per hour with annual wage increases through Year 5. Average weekly hours exceed 30, and full-time benefits are provided, including health, retirement, and paid time off. Prior retail experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Work independently and with others.
• Organize, prioritize and complete tasks to maximize productivity.
• Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and stock products to maintain store standards.
• Cashier and assist customers at checkout.
• Keep store clean and safe, report hazards.
• Open additional check lanes as needed for efficient checkout.
• Follow merchandising planograms to maximize sales.
• Process curbside pickup orders accurately and timely.
• Support management in achieving efficiency and loss goals.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
