Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is seeking an entry-level Store Cashier in Winter Park to deliver friendly customer service, operate the cash register, greet donors and customers, and help maintain a clean, organized sales floor.

You will ring up transactions, assist customers, and follow cash handling procedures while supporting store operations and helping every shopper have a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School education or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous retail and/or cashiering experience is highly preferred.
• Basic computer skills and beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Greeting each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Providing prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
• Directing customers to the proper area and providing general information as requested.
• Ringing up all sales transactions into the cash register and complete sales.
• Ensuring that each customer receives the proper change and correct receipt for purchase.
• Following all policies and procedures concerning cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and change Round Up program.
• Keeping the register area clean and orderly at all times.
• Answering telephone calls promptly using an established etiquette procedure.
• Assisting sales floor employees with stocking and recovery.
