Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cashier for university dining services at BLACK HILLS STATE UNIVERSITY. The role focuses on cash and credit transactions, operating the POS system, and supporting retail operations. It requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 1 year related experience.
• Alcohol service certification may be required depending on location.
• TIPS/TEAM or equivalent alcohol-service certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register (or equivalent), receives payments of cash, checks, and charges from customers or employees for goods or services, making change and issuing receipts or tickets to customers.
• Provides the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Maintains proper security of cash at all times.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.
