Job summary

ShopRite in Enfield, CT is seeking a Cashier to provide a great customer experience at the front end. You will scan, price, bag items and handle payments accurately while maintaining a clean workstation and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, following safety and QA standards, and promoting current promotions. The role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle payments.
• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work with fresh, dried, and/or perishable items with care.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and with cleaning agents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, friendly checkout service and assist customers.
• Properly scan, price and bag products, collect payments and give correct change.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe front-end area and adhere to safety standards.
• Process diverse payment forms per company guidelines (cash, card, EBT, etc.).
• Provide courteous service, greet customers, and handle returns per policy.
