Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and possess a solid customer service background or relevant educational experience.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the front counter POS (register) terminal.
2. Handle cash transactions and bag purchased merchandise.
3. Greet customers and answer telephones.
4. Direct sales associates using the PA system.
5. Stock shelves and maintain displayed merchandise.
6. Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess basic organizational and math skills.
• Subject to E-Verify upon accepting a position.
• Ability to lift light to moderate loads, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

California Pay Scale: $16.50 - $19.15/hour depending on store location.
