Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. Available openings are generally filled by enthusiastic, detail-oriented people with solid customer service backgrounds and/or educational paths well-suited to the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the front counter POS (register) terminal
• Handle cash and bag purchased merchandise
• Greet customers and answer telephones
• Direct sales associates using the PA system
• Stock shelves and maintain displayed merchandise
• Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
• Subject to E-Verify upon accepting the position
• Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Effective interactive and communicative skills
