Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with solid customer service backgrounds and relevant educational paths. Cashiers will oversee the front counter POS (register) terminal. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cash handling, bagging purchased merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the sales floor. The goal is to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Basic organizational and/or math skills
3. Subject to E-Verify upon accepting an offer
4. Light to moderate lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Effective communication skills
