Big 5 Sporting Goods is seeking an energetic, sports-minded individual to join our customer service team. The position typically attracts enthusiastic, detail-oriented candidates with strong customer service backgrounds or relevant educational paths. Cashiers are responsible for managing the front counter POS (register) terminal. Additional duties include cash handling, bagging purchased merchandise, greeting customers, answering phones, directing sales associates via PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining the display merchandise to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.

Minimum Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must possess basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
3. Upon accepting a position, candidates will be subject to E-Verify
4. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
5. Must have effective interactive and communication skills

California Pay Scale: $16.50 - $19.15/hour depending on store location
