Job summary

ExtraMile Convenience Stores is hiring a Retail Cashier in a full-time capacity. The position offers a starting pay of $15.50 per hour with a 2:00pm–Midnight shift and opportunities for advancement within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

You will greet customers, handle transactions, promote specials, and help with stocking and cleaning. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and savings plans.

Responsibilities

• Greet every customer and thank them for their business.
• Provide fast, friendly checkout experiences.
• Promote store specials and suggest additional purchases.
• Ring up sales accurately and follow company policies on restricted products.
• Maintain store cleanliness inside and out.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays.
• Assist in cleaning and stocking food service area and follow food handling procedures.
• Rotate and label inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift: Full-time 2:00pm - Midnight.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet every customer with a smile and thank them for their business
• Provide fast, friendly, and professional checkout experiences
• Promote store specials and suggest additional purchases
• Ring up sales accurately and follow all company policies, including those related to restricted product sales (alcohol, tobacco)
• Maintain store cleanliness, inside and out
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed
• Assist in cleaning and stocking the food service area
• Follow all food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitation procedures
• Rotate and properly label inventory
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, frequently required to stand, walk, bend, and twist; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and listen.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds.
• Work safely in work conditions that include heat, cold, allergen, noise, and fume/chemical/odor from gasoline and cleaning chemicals.
