Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Security Guard to protect staff, patients, customers, and retail operations in our Phoenix dispensary. You will patrol, control access, and respond to incidents while delivering courteous service to guests.

The role requires 1+ year in security, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a high school diploma or GED. Lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for long periods are part of the job; scheduling may include weekends and night shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional security experience preferred.
• Strong observational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emergency situations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued identification.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the premises to deter theft, monitor behavior, and report suspicious activity.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter secure areas.
• Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including basic first aid if required.
• Maintain clear and accurate incident reports, security logs, and shift summaries.
• Enforce company policies and compliance regulations to ensure a safe environment.
• Deliver professional customer service by assisting patients, customers, and employees with information, directions, or support.
• Coordinate with management and local authorities when necessary during incidents or emergencies.
• Support daily operations by helping with crowd control, ID verification, and line management during peak hours.
