Job summary

Mint Cannabis seeks a vigilant Security Guard to protect patients, customers, staff, and retail operations at our Mesa dispensary. You will monitor activity on-site, enforce security policies, and maintain a welcoming but secure environment for all guests and staff.

This is an on-site, non-exempt role with a pay range of $16.00–$19.00 per hour and requires 1+ year of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional security experience preferred.
• Strong observational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
• Must be comfortable enforcing policies consistently and respectfully.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued identification.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the premises to deter theft, monitor behavior, and report suspicious activity
• Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter secure areas
• Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including basic first aid if required
• Maintain clear and accurate incident reports, security logs, and shift summaries
• Enforce company policies and compliance regulations to ensure a safe environment
• Deliver professional customer service by assisting patients, customers, and employees with information, directions, or support
• Coordinate with management and local authorities when necessary during incidents or emergencies
• Support daily operations by helping with crowd control, ID verification, and line management during peak hours

Position Summary:

The Security Guard at Mint Cannabis plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our team members, patients/customers, and retail operations. Work Environment:

• On-site, retail dispensary environment
• High customer traffic with potential for exposure to loud environments, outdoor temperatures, and long periods on foot
• Schedule varies and may include weekends, holidays, and night shifts

Travel Requirements:

• Minimal travel required between local Mint Cannabis locations
