Job summary

Mint Cannabis is seeking a Security Guard to protect staff, patients, customers and our Phoenix dispensary. You will patrol on-site, monitor access, respond to alarms, and maintain accurate incident logs to support safe operations.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of professional security experience, excellent observational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Must be 21+, have a valid state ID, and a high school diploma or GED; security training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols of the premises to deter theft, monitor behavior, and report suspicious activity
• Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter secure areas
• Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including basic first aid if required
• Maintain clear and accurate incident reports, security logs, and shift summaries
• Enforce company policies and compliance regulations to ensure a safe environment
• Deliver professional customer service by assisting patients, customers, and employees with information, directions, or support
• Coordinate with management and local authorities when necessary during incidents or emergencies
• Support daily operations by helping with crowd control, ID verification, and line management during peak hours

Pay Range: $16.00 - 19.00/hour

Position Summary:

The Security Guard at Mint Cannabis plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our team members, patients/customers, and retail operations. This position is responsible for monitoring activity on-site, enforcing security policies, and maintaining a welcoming but secure environment for all guests and staff. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Work Environment:

• On-site, retail dispensary environment
• High customer traffic with potential for exposure to loud environments, outdoor temperatures, and long periods on foot
• Schedule varies and may include weekends, holidays, and night shifts

Travel Requirements:

• Minimal travel required between local Mint Cannabis locations
