Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years post-secondary education and/or cash handling, customer service, banking or related experience preferred.
• Position starts as Retail Banker with promotion path to Retail Banking Specialist.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, typing, 10-key, and internet use is required.
• Commitment to First Security Bank's Core 5 values with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, and related tasks per policies.
• Verify checks, identify counterfeit currency, and review transactions for accuracy.
• Identify fraudulent activity and report concerns to management; stay informed on suspicious activities.
• Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and related reports as needed; report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer.
• Maintain and balance cash drawers, manage currency, vault, and ATM deposits; assist with research and discrepancy resolution.
• Promote bank products, refer customers when appropriate, and provide support to staff and management.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure secure operations.
• Operate banking software, telephone, scanner, copier, and related equipment.
• Attend on-site retail training and perform duties as assigned.
