Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. in Ann Arbor is seeking a Retail Associate to support receiving, merchandising, and customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will help ensure accurate tagging, clean backrooms, and smooth flow of goods to the sales floor while collaborating with teammates to deliver a superior shopping experience. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in retail and some leadership exposure, plus strong communication, multitasking, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail experience with at least 6 months of leadership experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards.
• Ensure Associates process tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Engage with customers to deliver an excellent shopping experience.
• Tag, hang, and code merchandise; maintain backroom organization.
• Train and mentor Associates on merchandising principles.
• Communicate with leadership to ensure smooth flow of goods to sales floor.
• Support store safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies.
