Meow Wolf in Las Vegas is seeking 3 variable, part-time Retail Associates to create an out-of-this-world shopping experience for our guests. Location is Las Vegas, NV (on-site).

Shifts are variable with no set schedule; positions offer opportunities to engage customers with our immersive narratives. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, displaying merchandise, and processing transactions with a creative flair that elevates the exhibition narrative.

Qualifications

• Strong service skills and a welcoming demeanor.
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
• Able to operate POS systems.
• Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Interest in the arts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the exhibition and/or gift shop and answer their questions.
• Deliver a memorable guest experience through exceptional customer service.
• Monitor crowds and assist with crowd control to ensure safety of guests and staff.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions throughout the Retail space.
• Process POS purchases and merchandise returns.
• Receive products and stock the sales floor, including processing incoming shipments, restocking displays, merchandising, etc.
• Collaborate with other team members to create and maintain a pleasant environment for guests.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Respond to injuries and emergencies appropriately, including reporting incidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Fulfill other duties as required or directed by management.

Job Description:

The Retail Associate champions weirdness, radical inclusion, and the power of creativity to change the world. Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Retail Associate creates an out of this world shopping experience for our guests. Retail Associates will have expansive knowledge of our products, prepare and display merchandise and assist guests with their transactions. We encourage Retail Associate to elevate the narrative within our story world by executing their job duties with a performative and creative flair.

We are currently looking to hire 3 Variable, Part Time Retail Associates.

Location: Las Vegas, NV (on-site)

This is a variable position. There is no set schedule or availability of hours. Work is offered to those who are available to accept it. Shifts will be communicated and once accepted, shifts must be worked as assigned, in compliance with company policy.

How you will do it...

• Prior work experience in high-volume, guest-facing spaces such as retail, museums, theme parks, recreation facilities, escape rooms
• Prior experience with point-of-sale systems
• Hidden talents that can be employed as part of the persona including but not limited to: singing, dancing, magic, comedy, conversationalist, impersonator, or otherwise
• Bilingual, especially but not limited to English and Spanish

Work Environment...

This position works in indoor settings with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, strong visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, fog machines, and small and/ or enclosed spaces. When working in outdoor settings, the position is exposed to weather conditions, and varied temperatures.
