Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a friendly Retail Associate for our Fort Wayne thrift store. This part-time role involves greeting customers, processing transactions, and keeping merchandise neatly displayed.

Training is provided to help you learn store procedures and build retail skills. You will work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, with ongoing coaching from store leadership and opportunities to contribute to community programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, every donation and sale helps fund our Adult Rehabilitation Center program. The Retail Associate is an important part of that mission, helping customers, processing merchandise, and keeping the store clean, organized, and welcoming. We're looking for energetic, dependable individuals who enjoy staying active and making a difference in their community.

What You'll Do
