Job summary

Work World in Hayward, CA is hiring a part-time Retail Team Member to deliver a positive customer experience while supporting store growth.

You will help customers with product information, answer questions in person and by phone, maintain stock, process transactions, and ensure prices are visible. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred. This position offers sick time and generous employee discounts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication, customer service, and basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented with a professional appearance.
• Sales experience and bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with information about store products and services.
• Assist customers with questions and requests in person and over the phone.
• Welcome and support customers with friendly and professional service.
• Help maintain stock levels and replenish merchandise as needed.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including payments and receipt distribution.
• Label merchandise and ensure pricing is displayed correctly.
• Support the team in achieving daily sales objectives.
