Job summary

Badlands National Park is seeking a Retail Associate to assist guests with friendly service, product information and efficient transactions in a fast-paced shop.

You will greet customers quickly, maintain displays, handle payments, and help with park inquiries while upholding park and company standards. Previous retail or POS experience and a high school diploma are preferred; position includes employee housing options and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year retail sales experience preferred.
• Experience with POS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers within 30 seconds of entering the store and provide friendly customer service.
• Achieve and maintain product knowledge to assist customers with purchasing decisions.
• Guide and direct customers to appropriate products of interest and answer related inquiries.
• Assist customers with all park related inquiries using approved interpretive information.
• Accurately total, process and collect payments using the POS system.
• Restock and maintain displays and label as needed per Company standards.
• Achieve established sales goals and participate in opening/closing procedures.
• Participate in daily cleaning/maintenance duties and uphold store policies.
