Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is hiring a Sales Associate/Material Handler in Stockton, CA. This role offers $16.90 per hour and requires a high school diploma, reliability, and strong customer service skills.

You will assist customers and donors, stock merchandise, and keep the store clean and organized. As part of the Retail Team, you will support daily operations, handle POS transactions, and help ensure a positive experience for shoppers and donors while following TSA policies and

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items for sale on the floor according to TSA standards.
• Sort donations for processing per TSA standards.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization; perform cleaning duties as directed by managers.
• Assist in inventory areas: cleaning windows, dusting, cashwrap, fitting rooms, bathrooms, stockroom, and breakroom.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately and efficiently.
• Provide quality assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
