Job summary

Insa Cannabis is seeking a Retail Associate in New Haven, CT who will provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service, educate customers on product options, and process transactions accurately to support sales goals.

The role includes restocking, maintaining a clean, compliant store, and following state regulations and company SOPs. Flexibile scheduling includes nights, weekends, and holidays, with benefits like paid time off, 401K with company match, employee discounts, and free swag.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required; POS software and cash management experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and compassionate customer service.

• Process transactions accurately and efficiently using a computerized system.
• Contribute to meeting the company’s sales goals by following Insa sales standards.
• Perform order fulfillment and restocking as needed.
• Protect the stability and reputation of the stores by complying with state regulations and company policies and follow operational procedures as outlined.
• Authorize facility access for employees, customers, and visitors by checking IDs, providing escorts, and completing and retaining applicable records.
• Accommodate a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Compliant with company SOPs and state regulations Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Follow applicable safety procedures by wearing appropriate PPE, and reporting injuries, near misses, and hazards to management
• Behave in a manner that is positive, productive, cooperative, and encourages teamwork
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.
• Visual acuity is needed for viewing computer screens and fine print.
• Manual dexterity needed for performing transactions.

Workplace Environment

• Busy retail environment with moderate noise level
• Indoor/outdoor environment with exposure to seasonal temperature changes
• High volume work during peak hours, events, and holidays
