Job summary

Insa Cannabis in New Haven, CT is seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager to support the Retail Store Manager in daily operations, oversee the sales floor and inventory, and help train new staff to deliver exceptional customer service. The role requires at least 3 years of leadership, a high school diploma or GED, 21 years of age, and strong interpersonal skills.

You must be flexible to nights, weekends and holidays, with pay between $21.00 and $27.31 per hour and benefits including PTO, a 401K

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Previous retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience required.
• Basic computer skills; POS software and cash management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve operational excellence through planning, staffing, scheduling, communication, process application, and meeting deadlines.
• Manage team by setting expectations, and providing training, coaching, accountability and performance evaluations.
• Motivate the store team to meet and exceed retail sales and profitability goals while providing excellent customer service.
• Execute daily communication with store team to review sales performance, sales goals, current promotions, and directives.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying trends and opportunities.
• Maintains accurate inventories, manifests, documentation, and reports.
• Support inventory processes and investigations as necessary.
• Provide feedback, training & guidance to improve staff knowledge and performance.
• Maintain results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.
• Resolve customer complaints.
• Execute visual standards and marketing initiatives.
• Complete administrative tasks as needed.
• Accommodate a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Description

The Retail Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Retail Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing the sales floor, managing inventory, and providing customer service. The Assistant Retail Store Manager also plays a key role in training and developing new employees.

Responsibilities & Duties

Qualifications & Experience

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous retail, hospitality, and/or customer service experience required.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience required.
• Basic computer skills required; POS software and cash management experience preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with state regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.
• Visual acuity is needed for viewing computer screens and fine print.
• Manual dexterity needed for performing transactions.
• Busy retail environment with moderate noise level
• Indoor/outdoor environment with exposure to seasonal temperature changes
• High volume work during peak hours, events, and holidays

Pay Range: $21.00 - $27.31

Insa is a multi-state employer, and this is the company-wide pay range. Offers will be provided in accordance with state-specific minimum wage guidelines.
