Boise Consumer Cooperative is seeking a Retail Associate at the North End Store in Boise, ID. The role involves serving customers, stocking merchandise, and supporting multiple store areas with a friendly, team-driven approach.
The position requires reliability, adaptability, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. A valid Idaho food handler’s card or the ability to obtain one is preferred, along with willingness to pass a background check.
As a Retail Associate, you’ll be a versatile part of the Boise Co-op team, helping wherever you’re needed most. You’ll work across multiple areas of the store to assist customers, stock and merchandise products, support register operations, and help keep the store organized, safe, and running smoothly.
This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, likes working with people, and is comfortable shifting priorities throughout the day. If you’re someone who notices what needs to be done and is ready to jump in and help, we’d love to meet you.
Retail, grocery, customer service, stocking, merchandising, or food‑service experience is preferred but not required. More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is dependable, enjoys helping customers and coworkers, and is willing to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities.
This position requires prolonged standing and walking; frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand and arm movements; and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely push or pull loaded carts.
Work is primarily performed in a busy grocery store with frequent customer interaction and may include exposure to wet floors, temperature changes, equipment, and other conditions typical of retail and food‑service environments.
