Job summary

Boise Co-op is seeking a Grocery Associate to help keep shelves stocked, organized, and welcoming. You will support daily operations by maintaining product quality, organizing backstock, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities include stocking with rotation, labeling, displays, inventory checks, and assisting customers while following safety and sanitation procedures. Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16; must be 18 years or older to operate equipment as permitted by law.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow safety, sanitation, and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves efficiently using proper product rotation to maintain freshness and accuracy.
• Maintain organized work areas, floor sets, and backstock to ensure accessibility and support department efficiency.
• Check for expired product and remove or process according to procedures.
• Label and date products accurately according to department standards.
• Build and reset product displays in alignment with merchandising expectations.
• Monitor product conditions and address issues to reduce shrink.
• Assist with quarterly inventory counts and department organization.
• Provide excellent customer service by helping customers find products and answer questions.
• Communicate stock shortages, damaged items, or safety concerns promptly to leadership.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and operational procedures to support a clean and safe work environment.
