Job summary

Valley Wide Cooperative is seeking a Retail Associate to handle billing and payments while maintaining a strong customer service focus. The role requires diligence and adherence to the company’s standard operating procedures.

You will greet customers, assist with all transactions for purchases or returns, and keep shelves clean, organized, and stocked. You will also answer multiple phone lines and support other staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be willing to become propane certified upon hire.
• Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.
• Ability to multitask and determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
• Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees, and vendors.
• Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions.
• Ability to properly handle money, give change and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
