Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Processes sales transactions and maintains cash drawer accuracy.
• Maximizes sales through proper merchandising, stocking, rotating, and shelf presentation.
• Ensures compliance with weights, measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean, sanitary environment and equipment in line with store standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and verifies pricing accuracy on signs.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Unloads deliveries, inspects for damages, and shelves products.
• Discards expired items per policy and places near-expiry items on promotions.
• Responds to customer orders and coordinates timely deliveries.
• Keeps grocery areas clean and well organized, with regular inventory checks.
• Informs customers about WIC benefits and ensures eligibility where applicable.
