ALDI store associate position in New Jersey to support merchandising, stocking, cashiering and cleaning to keep the store looking its best. You will work with the ALDI team to deliver exceptional customer service.

This full-time role averages 30+ hours per week, with starting pay of $19.50 per hour and planned increases to $21.50 over five years. Benefits include a comprehensive package with health, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid holidays and parental leave.

Qualifications

• Prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Model and follow customer service principles and escalate as needed.
• Inform management of losses due to damaged/outdated products.
• Use POS to scan and process purchases accurately.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures.
• Open additional check lanes for efficient checkout.
• Stock shelves and displays per planograms to maximize sales.
• Complete curbside pickup orders accurately for timely delivery.
• Maintain zone and merchandising standards at all times.
• Assist management in achieving efficiency and loss goals.
• Ensure a safe working environment by identifying hazards.
