Job summary

Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi in Long Beach, MS is seeking a Store Associate to deliver exceptional customer service, process transactions at the POS, merchandise the sales floor, and stock donations with care.

Under the supervision of the Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager, you will assist donors, load/unload donated goods, maintain a clean, safe store, and uphold PRIDE values while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to interact cordially with a diverse group of individuals.
• Able to communicate and understand instructions, both verbal and written, in English.
• Able to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Able to meet production goals.
• Able to lift and carry objects weighing 50 lbs or up to 100lbs utilizing a team lift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and cashiering at the point of sale.
• Merchandise the sales floor and stock from the backroom.
• Process donations and assist donors with unloading/loading.
• Assist customers with merchandise selection and suggestion selling.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free store environment and follow safety standards.
• Work under supervision to meet production goals and participate in promotions.
