Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to act as the primary point of contact for customers, manage plan-o-gram compliance, and ensure merchandise is stocked and attractive on the sales floor. You will build displays, assist with restocking, and help customers locate items.

You will operate the cash register, handle transactions, and support ordering with handheld scanners while maintaining store cleanliness and a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Basic cash handling and math skills.
• Friendly, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to stand and walk in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock; face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean front end and assist with sidewalk displays when necessary.
