Job summary

Aligned Talent Acquisition is recruiting for an experienced Retail Associate Attorney for an AmLaw 200 firm in Atlanta. This position focuses on representing retailers, restaurants, developers, property owners, and other consumer-facing businesses in real estate, leasing, development, and other commercial matters.

Ideal candidates have 2–6 years of experience in retail real estate, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and must hold a J.D.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of retail, commercial real estate, leasing, or related transactional experience.
• Experience representing retailers, restaurants, developers, landlords, tenants, or other commercial clients.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating retail leases and other commercial leasing agreements.
• Experience with site acquisition, development, leasing, and disposition matters.
• Experience drafting and negotiating LOIs, purchase and sale agreements, lease amendments, assignments, subleases, and related agreements.
• Experience handling title, survey, zoning, and other real estate due diligence.
• Ability to coordinate sophisticated transactions from negotiations through closing.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
• Georgia bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Responsibilities

• Represent retailers, restaurants, developers, landlords, tenants, or other commercial clients in real estate, leasing, and development matters.
• Draft and negotiate retail leases and related agreements.
• Coordinate transactions from initial negotiations through closing.
• Advise clients on real estate due diligence, title, survey, and zoning issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in a sophisticated practice representing retailers, restaurants, developers, property owners, and other consumer-facing businesses in connection with real estate, leasing, development, and other commercial matters.

Ideal Background
