General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store functions as needed. Flexibility to perform additional tasks to meet customer service and operational goals is expected.

Essential Functions

• Practice safety and maintain awareness on the sales floor.
• Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy.
• Assist customers, operate registers, and answer questions politely and knowledgeably.
• Respond promptly to customer service calls and issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain professional appearance.
• Ensure merchandise is received, organized, and presented according to standards.
• Follow loss prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maximize productivity by following store best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements / ADA

• Ability to use store equipment including registers and computers.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of shift.
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and lift over 25 pounds as needed.
• Specific requirements for stockroom shifts include lifting over 20 pounds.
