General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures our Customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, and performing various tasks across the store as needed.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors.
• Create a safe shopping environment by maintaining clutter-free aisles and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Be friendly and professional, greeting customers and assisting with merchandise and questions.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and resolve issues courteously.
• Support the company's brand and maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Expedite merchandise receipts to the sales floor and maintain merchandise standards.
• Understand loss prevention policies and safeguard confidential information.
• Follow policies regarding stock management, cash handling, and transactions.
• Work efficiently to maximize productivity and adhere to store best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

• Effective communication with Customers, Associates, and Leadership.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to use store equipment.
• Stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting over 25 pounds.
• For stockroom shifts, ability to lift over 20 pounds regularly.
