General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area at all times, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Retail Associate is expected to be engaged in these tasks as assigned during all working hours and will perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as needed. Additional tasks may be assigned to help achieve our Customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Understand that safety is the number one priority and practice safe behaviors in everything they do.
• Maintain high awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment; keep egress clear; report unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect; be friendly and professional; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers as needed—be register-trained, help with merchandise, answer questions politely and knowledgeably. Greet all Customers throughout the Store and thank them at checkout.
• Respond promptly to Customer needs, resolve issues courteously, and involve Store Leadership when necessary.
• Represent and support the Company brand consistently.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain a clean environment, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code.
• Ensure store is neat, organized, and well-merchandised through daily recovery and timely merchandising of new receipts.
• Understand Loss Prevention policies and standards.
• Demonstrate integrity and safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
• Follow all policies regarding stock disposal, cash handling, and transactions with accuracy and awareness.
• Perform duties with a sense of urgency, maximizing productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use all Store equipment, including registers and PCs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds, especially for Stockroom shifts.
